Environment Minister Launches Biodiversity Route Map

The Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform, Aileen McLeod, launched the Scottish Government’s new biodiversity route map at a Grow Wild Scotland community action day. Scotland’s Biodiversity – A Route Map to 2020 will set out the priority work needed to meet the international Aichi Targets for biodiversity and improve the state of nature in Scotland.

Vacant and Derelict Land Site Project Provides Active Travel Links for Dalkeith

Two new paths have been created in Dalkeith to make cycling and walking safer, give better access to Midlothian’s open spaces and promote healthier lifestyles.

The two paths, which create a circular route along  both sides of the River Esk, were officially opened by the Transport Minister, Derek Mackay on Tuesday 23 June.
