Consultants wanted for Interpretation Master Plan


The Inner Forth Landscape Initiative (IFLI) is seeking to commission the creation of an Interpretation Master Plan. This document will identify and develop key thematic stories to be told around the Initiative area and should provide IFLI with an innovative and integrated set of interpretation ideas and solutions to be implemented during the 2014 - 2018 delivery period. The successful agency will pull together existing data including details of priority project sites, target audiences and partners and community goals. This will be a key document for IFLI to submit as part of their Stage 2 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund’s Landscape Partnership Scheme in October 2013.

Landscape Institute GI Position Statement


'Green Infrastructure – An integrated approach to land use' was launched by the Landscape Institute at this year’s Ecobuild event. This new position document, which follows on from the first statement in 2009, showcases a range of strategic Green Infrastructure (GI) work and completed projects from around the UK. These projects clearly demonstrate how the use of GI can tackle a range of critical issues from public health and well-being to social cohesion, food and energy security and climate change mitigation and adaption.

Imagining Natural Scotland: Call for submissions


Creative Scotland, in partnership with Scottish Natural Heritage and the University of St Andrews, is seeking proposals for collaborative interdisciplinary projects that creatively explore the ideas and issues surrounding the representation – now and in the past – of natural Scotland.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 29th April 2013 and more information on the project can be found on the Imagining Natural Scotland website.

Ecologist Vacancy at Sustrans

Integrated Habitat Network Workshops


Two Integrated Habitat Network (IHN) workshops on the 14th and 19th of March are currently open for booking. These are small interactive group events that explain the background to the IHN data, how it fits into the context of green networks and show users how to access and interpret the information.

The sessions will be held from 10am-12pm at Forth Valley GIS in Stirling. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is not essential. Flood Risk Management Consultation


SEPA has launched a consultation into Flood Risk Management Planning running until 22nd March 2013. Responses on this consultation will be used to produce Flood Risk Management Strategies for 2015-2021, draft documents for which will be available for consultation from December 2014.
