Imagining Natural Scotland: Call for submissions


Creative Scotland, in partnership with Scottish Natural Heritage and the University of St Andrews, is seeking proposals for collaborative interdisciplinary projects that creatively explore the ideas and issues surrounding the representation – now and in the past – of natural Scotland.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 29th April 2013 and more information on the project can be found on the Imagining Natural Scotland website.

Ecologist Vacancy at Sustrans


Sustrans are seeking an experienced Ecologist to help with the successful delivery of their Greener Greenways project. Sustrans are currently advertising for several vacanies in Central Scotland, including a Project Officer for the John Muir Trail & NCN Signage and Project Officer roles based in Glasgow. Integrated Habitat Network Workshops


Two Integrated Habitat Network (IHN) workshops on the 14th and 19th of March are currently open for booking. These are small interactive group events that explain the background to the IHN data, how it fits into the context of green networks and show users how to access and interpret the information.

The sessions will be held from 10am-12pm at Forth Valley GIS in Stirling. Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is not essential. Flood Risk Management Consultation


SEPA has launched a consultation into Flood Risk Management Planning running until 22nd March 2013. Responses on this consultation will be used to produce Flood Risk Management Strategies for 2015-2021, draft documents for which will be available for consultation from December 2014.

Vacancies at Paths for All


Paths for All is a Scottish Charity whose main funders are the Scottish Government and Scottish Natural Heritage. They are currently recruiting for the following four vacancies, two of which are in partnership with other organisations: Macmillan Walking Development Officer, Commonwealth Woodland Walks Development Officer, Active Travel Policy Officer, Paths for All Development Officer.

The closing date for applications is Friday 1st March. Interviews for FCS, Active Travel and Maternity Leave posts will be held in Alloa week commencing 11th March. Interviews for the Macmillan post will be held in Alloa on 19th March.

CSFT aim to improve the lives of those living, working and playing in the area by improving their environment, their access to healthy activities and strengthening their communities. In addition, CSFT have a key role in supporting the Central Scotland Green Network.
