Local Authority Concordats Signed

East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire became the latest Councils to sign up to the CSGN Concordat when the Council Leaders and Chief Executives met up with CSGN Chair on 5 and 13 August respectively to sign their Concordats.

New Funding for Community Gardens in Scotland

The Royal Horticultural Society has launched a new £100,000 fund to support community gardening across the Scotland.

Gardening groups will be able to apply for funds to make a difference in their neighbourhoods, and support and advice will be given to groups by the RHS Regional Development Team based in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is looking for a dynamic and motivated manager to join its Biodiversity Data Team to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful candidate will deliver key project outputs and corporate reports whilst maintaining legal and operational data; line manage the Data Analyst and the small team of regular volunteers; play a central role in coordinating the annual budgeting process for wildlife reserves and monitor progress throughout the year.
