Learning Through Landscapes (LTL) has recently launched its Briefing Paper, Looked After Children and the Natural Environment. The paper discusses the benefits of spending time outdoors on the physical and mental wellbeing of looked after children and explores the impacts this might have.
The paper has been prepared for LTL by BAAF (British Association for Adoption and Fostering) with support from Play Wales. The paper is intended for foster carers, social workers and those with an interest in fostering. It forms part of a wider training programme for foster carers and social workers called Fostering Outside Play.
