The Stalled Spaces Scotland project managed by Architecture and Design Scotland (A+DS) is open for applications. A+DS are also inviting Scottish local authorities considering applying to attend a number of workshops and information sessions to support the application process.

The Legacy 2014 programme aims to support local authorities and communities bring derelict and vacant land back in to temporary use to benefit communities and enhance town centres. It is aligning with the Scottish Government’s Town Centre Action Plan and the Town Centre First Principle the programme by initially looking town centre site. It presents an opportunity to empower people to bring these spaces back into positive use for the benefit for the whole community.

Up to 30 sites will be supported, starting this year until December 2016. The closing date for applications is 20 October 2014.
