A reception event took place in The Scottish Parliament on 21 August 2014 to mark the launch of the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative (IFLI). The £4miilion programme of work has been developed and supported by a partnership of nine organisations, with grants from the Forth Valley Lomond LEADER, Heritage Lottery Fund and CSGN Development Fund.
The event was hosted by Falkirk East MSP, Angus MacDonald, and Environment Minister Paul Wheelhouse joined the celebration to officially launch the initiative. There was good representation from partners and supporters of the scheme, further demonstrating the partnership approach which was also commended by the afternoon’s speakers.
The scheme, which aims to conserve, enhance and celebrate the Inner Forth landscape, consists of 50 projects that will take place over the next four years. The IFLI partnership brings together the specialist skills and experience needed to achieve the initiative’s ambitions:
- RSPB Scotland
- Scottish Natural Heritage
- Falkirk Council
- Stirling Council
- Clackmannanshire Council
- Central Scotland Green Network Trust
- Historic Scotland
- Scottish Environment Protection Agency
