Do you want to help people get out and about in North Lanarkshire? North Lanarkshire Council are looking for an enthusiastic countryside access professional to join their access team. You will work to ensure the council delivers its access duties under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.

Working within the Greenspace Development Section and part of a dedicated team of countryside professionals, you will report to the Assistant Business Manager (Greenspace Development) at Palacerigg House, Palacerigg Country Park, Cumbernauld.

Holding a degree or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline, you will have an active interest in walking, cycling, horse riding, and other activities in relation to outdoor access. You will have significant experience of working in countryside access or recreation. Your role will be to assist in the implementation of local path networks and develop access opportunities for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and the less-able within North Lanarkshire Council. You will be a good communicator who will be able to work constructively with council colleagues, other agencies, landowners and community groups to resolve and progress access issues. You will assist in developing and delivering an exciting range of projects to deliver a top quality access network for the area.
