Funding round up

We would like to thank SNH for their input to this useful round-up of grant sources for environmental / biodiversity related activities. Some of the following opportunities have deadlines very soon, good luck with your applications.

CSGN Ideas Fund

The CSGN Ideas Fund is now open for applications. The successful applicant will be decided during the CSGN Forum. Funding up to £5000 can be awarded, the deadline for applications is noon on 7 May. Visit the CSGN Ideas Fund page for full details.

 

2014 Communities

2014 Communities will fund projects that will achieve one or more of the following outcomes:

  • More people take part in physical activity
  • More people volunteer in physical activity
  • More people and communities are brought together through taking part or volunteering in physical activity.

2014 Communities offers grants of between £300 and £2,000

Who can apply?

  • local sports clubs
  • voluntary and community organisations
  • community councils
  • schools

Awards For All

Awards for All is a quick and easy way to get small Lottery grants of between £500 and £10,000. The programme aims to help people become actively involved in projects that bring about change in their local community. This could be through a wide range of community, arts, sports, health, education and environmental activities. The Awards for All application deadline is on 9 May. It will open again on 4 August 2014.

Climate Change Fund update

Substantial funding is available for financial year 2015. Funding for the 2014 financial year is almost exhausted.

Keep Scotland Beautiful advises community groups planning to submit a Climate Challenge Fund application for consideration at grant panels from June 2014 onwards to plan for a one year project with a start date of April 2015 and to submit their application as soon as possible.

Legacy 2014 Active Places Fund

The Legacy 2014 Active Places Fund supports the Scottish Government’s legacy ambitions for the Commonwealth Games to encourage more people to be active and take part in sport. Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 are available for a very wide range of community-led projects such as new bike or skate parks, outdoor adventure facilities, walking routes, or new projects within school estates. (For projects that require funding of less than £10,000 please apply to Awards for All.) In total, £10 million is available until 2015.

Closing date for application are: Round 4 - July 2014 Round 5 – 1st February 2015
