Under our ‘A Place for Growth’ theme, the CSGN aims to increase employment and training opportunities in land-based ‘green’ and ‘low carbon’ industries with the objective of not only providing meaningful work experience and support for unemployed people but also to improve local greenspace for everyone to enjoy.

To gather baseline data and identify where best practice activities are taking place, the CSGN Support Unit has commissioned consultants, Why Research, to carry out an audit of relevant training and subsidised employment schemes within the CSGN area.

In the data gathering exercise we specifically wish to identify and contact all organisations which have run or managed environmentally-based training programmes over the period January 2012 to December 2012 . If you are involved with, or aware of relevant initiatives, we’d like to hear from you please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. The research will be complete by the end of June 2013 and the data and a report will be made available on the CSGN website.
