The Wildlife Information Centre (TWIC) is seeking to employ a Coordinator on behalf of the Scottish Biodiversity Information Forum (SBIF). The SBIF Coordinator will support the functions of SBIF, which has been set up to collectively tackle the fundamental challenges that inhibit an effective biological data flow system spanning from the point of collection to the point of use. The post holder will carry out research on the overarching issues relating to biodiversity data in Scotland and take forward initiatives that come from the research and the SBIF Steering Group and Sub-groups. They will be the SBIF focal point for the biodiversity data community.

The post is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2014, funded by Scottish Natural Heritage, SEPA and Biological Recording in Scotland. The post is based at TWIC’s office located at Vogrie Country Park, near Gorebridge, Midlothian.
