Green Infrastructure; a Growing Need

A conference organised by the Scottish Green Infrastructure Forum and Glasgow’s Green 2015.

Glasgow City Chambers 6th & 7th October 2015

The Scottish Green Infrastructure Forum and Glasgow City Council are hosting an international conference to be held in Glasgow on 6 & 7 October as part of Glasgow’s Green 2015. The conference aims to showcase some of Europe’s best examples of green infrastructure projects, and celebrate Scotlands contribution. Session themes include Green Infrastructure and Planning, Health, Biodiversity, Lessons from Abroad, and Home Grown Successes. The second day will include an afternoon of site visits to exemplar GI projects around Glasgow.

Keynote speakers include Prof Richard Ashely, Emeritus Professor from University of Sheffield, Dr Bent Braskerud from the Norwegian Centre for Soil and Environmental Research, Tony Barrett from AECOM, Prof Richard Mitchell from Institute of Health & Environment, University of Glasgow and Roger Crofts from Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
