FCS serves as the forestry directorate of the Scottish Government and is responsible to Scottish Ministers. Our mission is to protect and expand Scotland's forests and woodlands and increase their value to society and the environment. We are also responsible for managing the National Forest Estate in Scotland on behalf of Ministers.
