The CSGN Partnership Board

The CSGN Partnership Board has been established to help drive forward development and delivery of the Green Network and to allow representation from various constituencies to ensure wide participation and involvement in the initiative. Whilst it has no legal status, critically the Board has the endorsement of the lead partners and of Government.

The Partnership Board consists of a Chairperson and 11 members. Three members represent Forestry Commission Scotland, Scottish Natural Heritage and Scottish Enterprise.

Four members represent the local authorities, with members drawn from Ayrshire, Glasgow/Clyde Valley; Forth Valley and from Lothians and Fife.

The remaining four members allow participation from other sectors, e.g. health, development, the private sector.

Board Priorities:

To 2015 the Board will seek to:

  • lay the policy and planning foundations for the CSGN:
  • ensure that the ambitions for delivery of the CSGN are properly presented in strategic and local development plans;
  • drive forward and support the implementation of current greening initiatives; and
  • launch a number of new initiatives and pilot projects to drive delivery.
