Rebecca Maxwell

Rebecca Maxwell has extensive experience of working in the public sector, having held a number of senior roles within Stirling Council.

In her current position as Assistant Chief Executive with Stirling Council, Rebecca is specifically responsible for guiding the Council in the development of its strategic direction and policies with regards to sustainability, the economy and the environment.

Her role includes ensuring co-ordination between various strategies including the Local Development Plan and Open Space strategy in addition to delivering its economic strategy and ensuring that sustainability is embedded into everyday service planning and delivery.

Rebecca has worked for Stirling Council since 2003, where she has also held the position of Head of Service in Children’s Services and Assistant Chief Executive with responsibility for corporate and strategy planning and performance management.

Rebecca is committed to the public sector and the difference it can make to people’s lives. Prior to her move to local government in 2003, Rebecca had a career in the NHS spanning 13 years.
