Andrew Mickel

Andrew Mickel is a Director with homebuilder and contractor Mactaggart & Mickel Group Limited, a private company founded in 1925.
The company has a rich heritage but is also at the cutting edge of award-winning, quality contemporary homes, engaging with communities and has developed the most sustainable commercial house in Scotland in 2009. The company was also named Housebuilder of the Year at the 2011 Scottish Home Awards.
Mactaggart & Mickel is part of the consortium charged with building the £245million Athletes’ Village for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Having worked with London based Consultants, Caws & Morris on commercial, transport and residential projects during the 1990s, Andrew has worked with the CBI Planning Group and the Planning Improvement Service for Scottish Government. He has also worked with an advisory body for Planning Aid Scotland and currently sits on the board of a community development project in the East End of Glasgow.
Andrew is the former Chairman and twice Vice Chairman of Homes for Scotland, the industry body for the new build residential sector in Scotland and has held a non-executive directorship with an investment trust.
