Monitoring and Evaluation

The CSGN seeks to improve the quality of greenspace provision in every community, encourage Scots to lead a more active and healthy lifestyle by providing attractive opportunities for active travel and outdoor recreation, make Central Scotland a more attractive place for business to locate to, help provide integrated habitat networks and do what we can to mitigate and adapt to climate change.

To measure these impacts, the CSGN collects and interprets a rich variety of data.  Analysis of this information will be presented in this section of the website. It will demonstrate change over time and show the added value being delivered by the Network.

As part of this process, the Support Unit is establishing a Monitoring Framework to guide data gathering activities. A key element of this Framework is the creation of the 2010 CSGN Baseline Report which sets out the situation in 2010 across the themes identified within the Vision.

The statistics and analysis presented in this section of the website will be periodically updated to provide key intelligence to the CSGN Board and green network partners to help shape future activities and actions.
