csftlogoThe Central Scotland Forest Trust (CSFT) is seeking a high quality candidate to take over the important role of Chair of the Board when the post becomes vacant later this year.

CSFT is an environmental regeneration charity, working with partners across central Scotland to carry out woodland planting and management, access and recreation works, community projects and landscape improvements. CSFT aim to improve the lives of those living, working and playing in the area by improving their environment, their access to healthy activities and strengthening their communities. In addition, CSFT have a key role in supporting the Central Scotland Green Network.

Berlin probably has the most amazing school playgrounds anywhere, driven by a strong belief in the importance of good external environments for children’s wellbeing and learning. You can get a feel for these amazing spaces by looking at the case studies and images from Grounds for Learning.

Following a successful study tour to Berlin last June, Grounds for Learning is hoping to run another tour in June 2013, provisionally from 12th - 15th June.

Local Government News (LGN) is accepting nominations for the 2013 Street Design Awards. The Street Design Awards recognise best practice and innovation in street design schemes across the UK. The awards are free to enter and are divided into six categories: urban green space, highways, public lighting, children's play, community-led design and pedestrian environment.

FEL_logo_colourForth Environment Link seeks two Cycling Hub Officers for the Stirling Cycle Hub.

The cycle hub is a pilot which aims to promote and increase cycling.  Based at Stirling Train Station, the hub will provide information and resources about cycling, and develop partnerships in the local community.The hub is being funded by Transport Scotland in partnership with ScotRail, and will be open 7 days a week. The role of the Cycle Hub Officer is to provide cycle-related information and referral services to the public and be an ambassador for cycling.
